Welcome to the online demonstration of CandeCAD Pro!
Here you can view CandeCAD Pro in action. Note that it may
take a while to download the graphical images so please
be patient. For a quick overview of CandeCAD Pro please
“click” on E-Demo 1 below. For more advanced
users and for detailed demonstrations for creating a
finite element mesh please “click” on E-Demo
2. Lastly, please note that CandeCAD Pro is supplied with
an extensive built-in Help File to get the user started
quickly and easily. It incorporates detailed steps and
graphical illustrations and instructions for each command.

CandeCAD Pro Example Incremental Results
Overview:
CandeCAD Pro Overview gives a quick look at the
CandeCAD Pro command buttons and their functionality. It
is an ideal introduction to CandeCAD Pro for first time
users.
E-Demo 1:
E-demo 1 illustrates example steps for setting up a
finite element mesh and importing the results for a
3 130 mm O.D. steel pipe of thin wall design installed
in 6.0 m deep benched trench with sloping sides at the
top of the trench. A total of 7 different soil material
zones are used to represent the two-layered in situ
soil, bedding, soilcrete (flowable fill) support, structural
backfill, and two-layered embankment material. The construction
process is simulated by installing the pipe and placing
the backfill soils in 14 construction increments.
Purpose: E-demo 1 illustrates example steps for creating
a finite element mesh and presents example program output.
It is not intended to cover all the steps involved in
creating the finite element mesh but merely to present
example steps of the set up procedure. Refer to E-Demo
2 for more detailed illustrations.
E-Demo 2:
E-demo 2 illustrates detailed steps for setting up a
finite element mesh and importing the results for a
3 130 mm O.D. steel pipe of thin wall design installed
in 6.0 m deep benched trench installation. A total of
4 different soil material zones are used to represent
the in situ soil, bedding, structural backfill and embankment
material. The construction process is simulated by installing
the pipe and placing the backfill soils in 7 construction
increments.
Purpose: E-demo 2 illustrates detailed steps for creating
a finite element mesh consisting of steps for: 1) mesh
design, 2) assign intelligence, 3) conduct analysis
and 4) import results. It further presents examples
of program output that can be displayed. It is intended
to cover most of the steps involved in creating a finite
element mesh.
